More fuzzy things. Lots of them.

We're about 3 weeks away from The Local Con, and I have finished some things.
Pony Plushies
I think I've mentioned this, but it bears repeating: these were based on this pattern from DeviantArt, enlarged oh, somewhere between 150% and 200%. They're made in fleece with paper-wrapped floral wire incorporated into the stuffing in their legs. More details in the individual notes...

To finish up the in-progress photo from last time, here's River Song from Doctor Who. I'd originally intended to make Doctor Whooves, but the plushie's snout was too pointy-cute. What's the next best thing, then? Spoilers.
This yarn is terrific, but it unravels at the ends. It's not really made to be used like this.

Just swiped Whooves' cutie mark.
Painting is not my forte, but felt didn't work so well here either. Moving right along...

When I saw the plushie pattern, Khal Drogo (A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones) was my first thought, because a) I very much enjoy inappropriate plushiefication of badass characters, and b) it's a horse-based culture, COME ON.
I'd originally thought about making a Daenerys dragon to go with him, but I took the easy way out, relatively speaking.

She is a unicorn pegasus with dragon wings because she's just that special. I was too impatient to track down sparkly fabric, or she would have been a SPARKLY unicorn pegasus with dragon wings.
I love how her face turned out. It's very stern. Her eyes are really just Celestia's, and Drogo's were based on a random background pony. For D&D's faces I switched to layered felt, which is easier for me than painting.

Of course. Better shot of her wings here, too. They're wired together through her torso, so they pose a bit.

The Mother of Dragons is having none of this nonsense.

A recursive horse. What in the heck else could I use for Drogo's cutie mark? (which, by the way, is a phrase that Should Not Be)
The show didn't use itty bitty jingle bells, obviously...
Bears

This is my bear version of the Space Core from Portal 2. The Aperture patch is kind of a cheat; I used an iron-on transfer. But he's cute. (space)

Some basic Final Fantasy stalwarts, Moogle and Tonberry (not quite finished). Moogle is mainly notable to me because it was my first attempt at using plastic joints with the mini-bear pattern that I drafted - before then I'd had string and button joints. These are more sturdy, but there was more trial and error in getting them placed right. Moogle's postures are a little weird as a result.

More Weeping Angels (Doctor Who). Don't blink.
Other Stuff

Zipper-topped purse based on Rainbow Dash from MLP:FIM. For the last con, I made a couple of Nyan Cat messenger bags, which left me with a couple of scraps of rainbow nylon webbing. Lemons into lemonade: that's what I'm all about.

Messenger bag based on Portal. I was pretty pleased with this, partly because I've never done stencil painting on fabric. Pretty sure I haven't, anyway.

The inside, with IIRC only the second pen/pencil pocket I've put on a bag. I think I put one on my husband's gaming bag, too.

Finally... big, squishy fleece TARDISes. (The large one is about 24".) More cheating with iron-on transfers - I couldn't paint the lettering, and embroidery would take way too long - but I like them anyway.
