I have a vague habit of focusing on one type of project per weeknight, which means that when I'm working on sewing, I'm not posting.

The other factor in today's post is Reverse Workspace Porn. In the crafting world, people like to post/look at pictures of gorgeous, perfectly organized workspaces - aspiration, envy, etc. I love a good pretty/functional organizational scheme as much as the next crafter, but I'm not likely to create one. My new workroom looks like the set of a '70s stag film (fake wood paneling FTL) and it's an unholy mess, but I still love it.

The ponies from the last post were on hold while my paintbrushes emerged from the unpacking chaos. They've since surfaced, so I should have some progress on those next week. In the meantime...

Mega Man was a case of making lemons into lemonade - I was experimenting with resizing a pattern, and it went rather wrong. It wound up with a tiny head and limbs compared to the size of its body. Now, which character has big, bulky gloves and boots that could help to camouflage such a problem? Hmmmm...

This was kind of fun because it was made entirely of fleece, apart from the eyes and nose. Fleece is texturally uninteresting, but very easy to work with.

Also, the smug cone seems to be leering directly at him, which amused me.

Traffic cones, round...2? 3? I've lost track. The X_x-faced one will get some tire treads once the paintbrushes are unpacked. I think Smug Face is a new random face for me; it turned out well. I had thought about doing a trollface, but was too comfortable to get up and print a reference picture at the time.

Bits of Weeping Angel. The first one had its magnets sewn in; this batch (there are 3) have the magnets glued in, to avoid more stitch lines on the outside. Note to self, though: using the larger ceramic magnets makes the arms difficult to turn right side out. I had to use needle-nose pliers and brute force on this one. The metal magnets (1 out of the 3 this time) are smaller.

The Angel happened to be laid out on Link's mirror shield, for another project entirely. I said it was a mess in there...

Unstuffed and in action. Sort of. Arms are detached until my shipment of plastic bear joints comes in.

The more visible fanart stickers in the background are from Ghostfire and Maqqy96, I think. *fan plug*

Kind of a random shot. Left: 2 10" bears' worth of parts (Squirtle and Bulbasaur). Right: 1 18" bear's worth of parts (Bard from Black Butler). Fluffy! Cutting out Bard took ages because this super-fluffy stuff is best to cut out one piece at a time, instead of two symmetrical pieces at a time as is typical.

Finally, Space Core, which is about 99% finished, and Moogle, which obviously has no clothes yet. (The lighter feet will be covered by its Moogle jumpsuit. I ran out of the intended color. Oops.)

Next: More bears for the next con, although several need the aforementioned joints.

Oh my god, that Megaman bear and those traffic cones are adorable.

And the fact that it looks like there's burgundy velvet in the background, which I came to love as part of my Wallachia cape just as much as I thought I would, only makes it better.
